Thinking Practice helps the arts, cultural and other sectors increase their impact and build their creative resilience through approaches that combine thinking (creative analysis and strategy) with practice (creative doing and learning).
It does this by
• working with people to develop better strategies, business models and ways of working
• writing, research and evaluation
• coaching and facilitation
• speaking and training
• sharing ideas, links and tools to support collaboration
Thinking Practice was founded in 2010 by Mark Robinson, an accomplished and inventive leader with an international reputation within the cultural sector. (Read more about Mark here.)
Since 2010 Thinking Practice has worked with over 80 organisations, many of whom have become repeat users of our services. Mark has established an international reputation for his writing on adaptive and creative resilience, and as a keynote speaker. His paper Making Adaptive Resilience Real helped put a new word firmly in the arts lexicon. Occasionally, he feels a little guilty about this.
Thinking Practice is based in Stockton, in North East England, but enjoys working anywhere.
